This is what a small town restaurant is supposed to be. Huge portions, friendly service, decent prices. Stopped in for the first time today and the place was HOPPIN', Despite that, our waitress was prompt, friendly, and the food arrived piping hot. Very pleased with everything today. Will definitely stop again.

Fun relaxed atmosphere. Service was wonderful even with them being super busy and great food.

Food is 4 star - Service is 2 star. Hamburger was a good solid old school burger. Walleye was great and the onion rings were killer. Took forever to order. Food came out hot, fresh & fast. Never got offered another beer or a pop refill. If they could actually serve people this place would be great.

Excellent pub grub chow! I enjoyed the walleye basket and my bride did the chicken strips basket both with the amazing onion rings. My son joined us for dinner and had a fabulous patty melt with fries. I love onion rings and can not find better rings anywhere in the Omaha area. Make sure to add the Rustic Inn to your "must try places."

First time here... Delicious! Definitely not your standard bar and grill food. The onion rings are simply the best! The lightest batter ever, smooth tasting onions inside. Then I ordered the chicken strips... Also homemade! Great tasting ranch too. They were surprisingly busy for a Monday night but our waitress was very efficient and did a great job. There's been a lot of thought put into this operation and it shows. Great job!

My wife and I split a jalapeno chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries, and a walleye basket with onion rings. Great portions, well cooked, good pricing. I'm a big eater and was happy. I think the chicken might have been a bit better than the walleye, but that may just be because the walleye and rings was kind of greasy (but tasty!) Even the tarter sauce was good. Definitely added to our our list of favorites! (No big reason for not being 5 stars- we just reserve that for places that really, really excel.)

great onion rings, good service, nice atmosphere. Their breakfasts, lunches and dinners are great. their cook knows what he or she is doing. Best Chickenfried steak I have ever had. the Walleye was super and love the Tartar. Great coleslaw too. You will get the great american burger here. Biscuits and Gravy a hunter would love. Stay away, because I don't want it to get so busy that I can't go there anymore.

Great Philly. Get it with the japalenos. The onion rings remind me of the old Minne Lusa tavern. The chicken fried steak is also a favorite. And breakfast is quick and reasonable. They don't open until 7 am though. So you might wait a bit..

The Rustic Inn is just the kind of place you're looking for when you want good company and great food. The staff are ridiculously kind, and treat you just like a resident of the neighborhood from down the block. They have great recommendations and made us feel at home. The food is wonderful. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner during the hours they're open. My husband had the biscuits and gravy and I had the swiss mushroom burger with fries. The portions are plentiful, and obviously home made. The biscuits were incredibly flakey, and the burger was 1/2 pound of perfectly grilled goodness. The fries were plentiful! All for less than $16, and no restaurant tax thanks to not being located in Omaha. We came at lunch, but they have a large set of offerings at the bar, and I believe they may have some music played there every now and again as they were moving some decent sized amps out when we arrived. I would definitely recommend and will be going back to this gem!
